I am pretty sure no one is reading "Europe With Syrup" anymore, since it has been nearly a year since we made our last entry. But, once the bug for travel and blogging bites, you find that one day you just have to get out there again.
I find that preparing to travel, in many ways is as much fun as actually traveling. So Gene and I are in the Preparing to Travel mode and can't believe how exciting it is. We have seen as many foreign films as we can fit into our schedule and we are reading and comparing notes as fast as we can. Our next trip is creeping up on us with only 9 weeks of preparation left.
Yes, my suitcase is already packed. Lighter than last time. Our two-month adventure will take us into late October which can be really cool in Denmark and Germany. So we are picking our layers carefully. Our itinerary will include Moscow, St. Petersburg, Stockholm, Odense, Hamburg, Berlin, Prague, Weisbaden and Duisburg...plus a bunch of little stops along the way.
We are making reservations and double checking our travel dates with our German cousins hoping to make the most of our time. The countdown begins today, with 77 days to go. Lots to do. Time to get busy.

Wow, we had good times in old Germany! Wiesabden and Cochem with the two of you was just great. I' ll follow the blog and hope to have you araound again, before I come to California :)
